Nestled along the serene shores of Lake Hankavesi, Hankaniemen Tila was a delightful surprise during our recent Finnish city break. As a tea plantation owner, I relish experiences that blend nature and comfort, and this old horse farm turned accommodation certainly delivered! The stunning views from our chalet’s balcony were the perfect backdrop for relaxing with friends, whether we were enjoying a cozy barbecue or just soaking up the tranquility. The well-equipped kitchen made it easy to whip up some local dishes, and I can still taste the fresh flavors mingling with the crisp lake air. A short drive of about 10 minutes led us to the enchanting Ähtäri Zoo, where we got a glimpse of the adorable pandas—definitely a must-see! I can't wait for another escape here; it felt like a slice of paradise in the heart of Finland. If you're looking for an idyllic getaway spot that's both charming and laid-back, Hankaniemen Tila should be your next destination!
